Problem Note 58904: You cannot set the CLOSING_DT to null in the DI_DM.GEOGRAPHY table in the SAS® Merchandise Intelligence Suite

In the SAS Merchandise Intelligence Suite, you cannot set the CLOSING_DT to null in the DI_DM.GEOGRAPHY table by sending a null value in STG_GEOGRAPHY or STG_GEOGRAPHY_PARENT table.
There is no workaround for this issue.

After the fix is installed, a new parameter called etlp_update_closing_dt_with_null is available to add to the DI_MON.JOB_PARAM table. The new parameter allows the Load_STG2DM_Geography_dm job to permit the DI_DM.GEOGRAPHY_DM.CLOSING_DT value to be set to null. When this value is 1, a null value for the CLOSING_DT in DIDM_STG.STG__GEOGRAPHY or DIDM_STG.STG_GEOGRAPHY_PARENT files sets the DI_DM.GEOGRAPH_DM.CLOSING_DT value to null. The default value is 0.
